I really liked the opening chapters of this book. I think the author did a good job setting up the plot without too much world building. I like the double narrators and switching perspectives. I also enjoyed the metaphors comparing the characters to different insects, as I am an entomologist myself. I was also drawn in by the color scheme and art style of the cover.
