Super intrigued by the first couple chapters - dark small town thriller vibes, very distinct voices for the two main characters, interesting setup (cult stories always draw me in), and the tone is pretty grounded and gritty, which lends an oppressive air to the story. I'm curious how the magic and horror elements are going to tie in (the cover is very evocative, and the title as well), and excited to read more.
