Very well written and fantastic space opera. It is on the slower side, but I enjoyed the mystery surrounding Kira's discovery and how she was treated by other fellow humans once they found out what really happened to her. The interactions with other alien life forms have been short of friendly, but to understand and be open to understanding what you don't know goes a long way. There's definitely a teaching moment with this book when it comes to judgment of things you don't understand. I also enjoyed the physics and explanations for a lot of the happenings in the book. It can get pretty technical and science-y if that's not your thing. I admit, I did listen to the audiobook and found the narrator to have a soothing voice if you want to go that route. This thick book can be daunting, but don't let it stop you from enjoying a wonderful space opera. It's a great read and I recommend it.
