Probably one of the best books I've ever read.

To Sleep In A Sea Of Stars is definitely in the top 3 for best books I've ever read. Firstly, about the world-building in it, I could definitely see that being what our society would look like a few hundred years from now. Also, how Paolini designed the Jellies so that they weren't just run-of-the-mill tall grey people with oversized heads in flying saucers, but something completely different, not just from generic aliens, but completely different from humans as well. He also found a way to allow relatively fast interstellar travel without breaking the laws of physics, since I think having superluminal space as well as subluminal space would explain a lot of things. It's hard for me to write a review like this without spoiling the book, but overall, it was completely amazing.
