I had received this book as an ARC and I was excited to read it. I had a really hard time getting into this book. I tried 3 different times before I finally got beyond chapter 5. I just found the plot hard to follow. I think halfway through I started to feel more interested and then I was left feeling super unsatisfied with the ending.
I am really sad that it just wasn't a good fit for me. I usually love science fiction books and this had a whole space travel aspect that made me want to read it. It just seemed to fall a little flat for me. I wasn't invested in the Kira or the story but I did have 2 friends who absolutely loved everything about this book and devoured it in one sitting so it must be just me that didn't really enjoy it. The book felt very wordy to me and overall just sort of dry and the characters were one dimensional. The cover was stunning though.
