Kira Navarez is one of my new favorite female characters now. While she explores this distant planet, some of her decisions made me question her but loved seeing her grow throughout the book.
The action scenes had me holding my breath for being afraid of the outcome yet still wanting to hurry and know. I think if I had to choose another fave character, definitely Trig.
I don't like to write long reviews because I'm afraid to leave spoilers, so I'll end with this. Yes, the book is long but so well written. If you enjoyed Christopher Paolini's other books, then you'll enjoy this as well. Even if Space operas aren't your normal go-to, just try it. It's a beautiful book.
