I am thoroughly impressed and amazed how much I enjoyed this book! I did not know what to expect from Paolini's previous works. The shear page size was deeply intimidating that I said a prayer before diving into this massive novel.
Let me just say, Paolini did NOT disappoint! My interest was captivated and never strayed, though my mind did gloss over when technological descriptions saturated the page. Otherwise, the story was good and I loved the whole mystery aspect.
The was so much great details and time put into this novel that I understand why it had to be over 800 pages. Our MC, Kira, was a relatable character that I really liked. I do not believe I have never read a book with aliens, nor believed I would like a book that featured them. It was actually really fascinating and my favorite was the organism that fused with Kira and their developing relationship.
