I felt invested in this book right from the start. So much so that I finished the first look quicker than any other one I've read previously.
First we are graced with an intricate and well thought out 3D map design. A map I would love to assess as the story continues and develops.
The introduction to the characters was very smooth and engaging. I'm interested to see where Kira and Alan's relationship goes and all the twists thrown their way.
I often find Sci-fi slow to read because off the difficult terminology, but I never felt like that whilst reading this first look. The writing style was very fluid and smooth, making it easy to invest myself in.
I'm thoroughly looking forward to purchasing this book for myself. I imagine I will devour it immediately and write a more detailed review, with hopefully 5 stars.
