So far, To Sleep in a Sea of Stars has me interested. I feel drawn in to what will happen next. I like the environment of the world, how it is somewhat familiar, but also new. Kira and Alan are very likeable and I like their connection but I also like that Kira is an individual separate from him, and doesn't need him all the time.
The setting is very clear to me. The idea of the gas giant lurking overhead is frightening, and the Hydroponics Bay sounds like a beautiful, peaceful place where I would also like to go.
Overall, I enjoy the style of writing. However, it took me a little while to get used to the short and broken sentences in the beginning, but then after a while either they stopped, or I stopped noticing them.
