I really enjoyed the Inheritance Cycle, even though it wasn't perfect, and was looking forward Paolini's next book. From reading this, it seems to have some of the same pitfalls that the Inheritance Cycle did (i.e. shallow character interactions) and now I'm not sure I want to read it. Surprising, considering he's in his 30s now and I can no longer attribute the underdeveloped nature of his writing to being so young.
