I don't typically like to read books with female main characters written by male authors, but the synopsis for this one sounded interesting.
I'm really intrigued by the setting and the conflict that was established at the end of this first look. I'm interested in knowing more about what is going on with what Kira discovered.
One thing I didn't like about this was all the focus on Kira and Alan. I wish we had gotten to know Kira as her own person before introducing Alan. At the beginning it was made to seem like Alan was Kira's entire life and she doesn't have much else she wants.
