I love the title and the cover is eye catching, and the writing is good. I'm sure fans of the author and genre will love it, but it just doesn't catch my attention enough to want to read more. And the length--over 800 pages according to the table of contents--is a turn off. I don't mind long books, but I'm not invested in this one enough to want that much of it.
