Already I love the concept of this book. I am a sucker of stories revolving around aliens and preserving mankind. The author did an excellent job of giving us an idea of what the world-building would be like, and it made me anticipate more information later in the book. I also enjoyed the gritty/dark mood the first chapter set for readers.
