A promising start renewing my love for Paolini’s storytelling
Upon opening up the excerpt, I was immediately struck by the wonderful page design and classic SciFi-sounding chapter names. Ordinarily, I don’t read much of this genre besides Asimov and Herbert, but this has encouraged me to take another look.
Although the start seemed kind of slow, I appreciated all the details of the world Paolini has created, along with lots of fascinating terminology. Around about 30 pages in I found myself getting more and more invested in the story, until I was sorry to find the last page.
This is certainly a book I’ll be putting high up my TBR list.
