The main character is gifted in painting, and she's invited to the Tiffany's Artist colony to compete for the coveted spot at the New York Gallery. As hard as she tried to keep her past behind her, it followed her. We're fascinated by the secrets she was trying to keep and what unfolded as the truth came out.
I think M.J. Rose writes beautifully, and I was drawn into the world of Tiffany with it's beauty during the Jazz Age of the 1920s. I was riveted from the get go by her beautiful writing, and I could "see" what it was like during that time period.
This is a gorgeous romantic historical mystery with vivid descriptions of the art world, the newspaper, the characters you would love and hate, and the romance. I really enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it.
