This one took me awhile to get into, and took a little bit of time to get through once I put it down. It ended up just not being for me; however, there were still things I enjoyed about it. I am interested in checking out other books from the author as I really did enjoy the writing and characters.
I also loved how the author explains how the story is taking parts of fiction and non-fiction. I liked learning about the burning of the mansion.
Overall, this was an ok read for me. I did end up finishing it as it did pick up towards the end. I just did not love it as much as I thought I was going too.
