Very interesting book about a unique American talent, a fascinating time period in American history, the art world and how it was changing, and finally a mystery. Extremely well written with thoroughly believable and well drawn characters, I thoroughly enjoyed this story which combined many elements that elevate books to the level of "favorites" in my opinion.
Especially appealing was how the author was able to combine historical facts, adding authenticity to the story and then combining those facts with additional characters that are entirely believable as well as a perfect fit for the time period. I would have loved to read more about the main character's adventures in Paris and hope that M.J. Rose follows up this story with further details on her life and career. I eagerly await the next book from this gifted author.
