I had such high hopes for this book, and it largely delivered. MJ Rose's descriptions of color, the verdant Tiffany estate, and the aura of the 1920s is charming and dazzling. Rose creates an atmosphere that you can perfectly envision and it feels like you are there seeing all the lush greenery, the beautiful stained-glass windows, the stunning jewelry, and hearing the colors in the character's voices. However, the characters are a little stunted. While I started out really liking the main character, Jenny Bell, as the novel progresses, she starts to feel more and more one-note. I also would have loved to see more of the other characters grow, including Minx, Ben, and Oliver. We get to know them over a few months in the summer and then the book flashes forward 33 years and it feels like we don't get to see their true development.

Overall, Tiffany Blues is a good read to get a feel of the opulence of the 1920s and the Tiffany family.
