Oh this excerpt was just stunning. The story is about a painter and the writing almost feels like it created through the same medium. It is delicate, precise, and beautiful. The setting is so well described that I could picture it all in my head as I read the story. The cover is absolutely gorgeous! I wish I knew who the artist was so I could buy up all their cover art and display it. The colors are rich and luxurious. I love the idea of an artist’s colony. I have artistic skills of my own but there was a great deal of living through this excerpt for me. I have always loved the idea of painting but have never been good at it. My many horrible tries as a teen showcase that. This book is gorgeous and great fun.
