I really enjoyed the first part of this book. The history the author gave before the story started, the way Jenny's early story was told, her physic and artistic aunt and mother, her fathers tragedy. The story leaves me wanting to find out more, although we are given a glimpse of the stepfather, you are starting to come to your own thoughts on what might have gone wrong, why she went back to live with her Aunt, what might have happened to her mother. Very well written, great first glance!
