I am a fan of historical romance and loved that this was set in early 1920s in New York. The story follows a an aspiring artist trying to make it in New York and follow in the steps of her mother. There was mystery added knowing that she had to invent a new identity for herself. I’m intrigued to find out why and what happened in her past to make her feel a certain way.
