Right up front I liked that the author explained the historical context and what’s fiction and what isn’t, it’s good to be clear on that when you’re reading a story that has some real-life figures in the mix. I’m liking this so far, intrigued by the tragedy in her past and I like the use of color, her friend’s paintings so bright and alive while hers, in contrast are much more haunted. As for the cover, it’s gorgeous, I love the sky.
