I loved the first impression of this story. I am so intrigued by the weaving of history and historical figures with fictional characters who very well could have been a part of the real people's lives. Whenever you have those types of characters in a story, it isn't as jarring because you believe they could have existed quite readily. I'm interested to find out what happened to the narrator and more about the situations which have only been alluded to thus far.
