I was drawn in by the idea of learning more about a famous artist through reading a fiction romantic mystery. I liked the idea of the friendship between the two women and look forward to unraveling the mystery of her past romantic relationship as well as what caused the fire.
I don't have much of an art background but like that the author is using fiction to present some art history and make it come alive for me.
