I'm always looking for good historical fiction, especially with a mystery. This looked promising; however the writing just didn't grab me (maybe if I read more, it would eventually get better).
As for the cover, it's very pretty, but if I saw it in bookstore I think it would get lost in the bunch. It looks like an older book (not just historical but it reminds me of books my mother had when I was a child).
