This story is more complex than I first believed. I thought it would be more of a light-hearted, girl meets boy type of story, with a beautiful backdrop. I was wrong. It seems to be a much darker story with an intensity I was not expecting, but do enjoy.
I thought this was a love story. However, it is a story of a young woman who is determined to outrun her demons, and instead has to confront them head on. I believe that there will be a love story in this, but it doesn't sound like this will be a happy-go-lucky ride like I thought. And I love that about this book! It is deeper and darker than I thought and I want to continue this journey until the very end.

It is gorgeous and immediately draws me to the book. I just wish there was some dark foreshadowing somewhere on the cover.
