From the very first page we are thrust into a story unlike one I have read before. The concept is unique, and incredibly interesting. I liked the idea so much that I had to know how the story played out. I did find that the beginning of the book lost my interest a few times. The worldbuilding was a bit slow, even though there was a lot to explore.

The story kind of sweeps you along as you try to figure out the mystery behind everything. I actually was surprised by a few of the twists that took place before we reach the cliffhanger ending.

Other than the slight issues with the worldbuilding, everything else was balanced beautifully. We had an engaging story, complex characters and plot. Twists that aren't predictable, but not to outlandish that they are unbelievable. I was amazed by how wrapped up I got into the story, especially since I wasn't to sure about it at first.

There were some things that I personally didn't care for, such as language, but otherwise, this book was really good. I truly hope we will get a sequel soon because now I need to know what happens next.
