This was a new and innovative twist on the fates and fate threads. I really loved the mysterious element of threads getting cut, and Io's journey into figuring out what is happening. I also thought the soulmate inclusion was a nice touch and added another layer to the story. I was cheering them on!
The world was very descriptive and I felt like I could touch the threads through the pages. I think the artwork on the cover also helps a lot with this as I could see the vivid image of the threads whenever they were mentioned.
About 100 pages in, I lost where the story was at. I think this mainly had to do with the fact that the story is written in third person and this is not the tense that I love to read. I think for those who love third person, this will be an incredible book. I just had a hard time understanding the emotions that Io was feeling. I ended up skimming over some sections because of this.
