Great YA Mythology/Fantasy Novel
This novel combined a few of my favorite things: mystery, mythology, and fate, especially The Fates. I would have liked to see more explanation and character building, but overall, this was a great read.
I will definitely be rereading this one at some point as well.
The cover is absolutely stunning as well and might be one of my favorite things about the novel.
he main character has the power to see the Quilt, which is the threads of fate between people. I particularly loved the fate thread that leads to a boy she never looked for but has to now work with him so solve the murders happening in the city.
I felt that by the midway point I felt that the mystery elements were a little drawn out and the pacing wasn't as fast as I wanted, but it didn't take away from my overall enjoyment.
I thought this was a standalone but it will actually be a series and I'm excited to see where it will go. The story has lots of really interesting loose ends to follow and I hope we get even more of the love story in book 2.
