This was an intriguing world, where people could be inheritor's of gods' powers (who have long ago disappeared) depending on how many siblings are in the family. Three siblings could be moira born and nine would be the muses. There were many different variations and I thought that made for an interesting setting. Add in the mysterious wraith women and Io trying to get to the bottom of it, along with her fate thread linked Edei, and I dove right in to the story. Lots of little twists though I guessed pretty easily about the wraiths. I definitely think I would want to be one of the other born because I would want powers if I lived in this apocalyptic world, despite the way that they are sometimes treated.
I really liked the story, what I did not like was that ending because now I need the next book now. That was quite the secret dropped and I cannot wait to see what Io does next with the knowledge and how she can save (or end) the world.
