A Unique YA Fantasy
First off, the cover is gorgeous. The symbolic meaning of the cover to the story is perfecto. Then the world building is amazingly written; it has been a while since I read something like this book. The characters have personalities of their own and I love it. The Greek mythology is phenomenon in the storytelling.
The writing is amazing. The action-packed scenes to the inner thoughts to the world building to even the characters. It is a unique kind of YA fantasy that I have been looking for. It also gave me a triller vibe with what is happening to the descendants of the Greek Fates, called moira-born. Io Ora is the main character, a private investigator who is trying to solve a case involving a moira-born that is dead yet killing people. Then her older sister gets involved, making it personal.
I am happy this is getting a sequel. I want to read more, and see the world expand. Kika Hatzopoulou knows what she is doing and I am going to rave Threads That Bind to everyone I know.
