I received this book as a giveaway. This was a really great fun fantasy mystery. It is about Io Ora who is a private investigator and she is moira-born, a descendant of the Greek Fates. She is a cutter, the youngest of three sisters, she has the ability to cut any thread of a person, even their life thread. She lives in Alante and city state on the verge of ruin that is flooded every night by the tides. She is employed for her skills by the Mob Queen of the Silts and comes upon a mystery of women who's life thread are severed and become "wraiths". She is determined to find out how and why.
This was a great mythological based read. It was interesting the there were the other-born who are descendants of the gods and have their unique power that they were charged with. It made this fantasy mystery unique and engrossing. The ending is a bit open so there may be a sequel.
