Have you ever read a book that you can tell is most likely fantastic, yet it just isn't for you??
This Is How You Lose the Time War was one of those books for me. It is a sci-fi novella about time travel that is written in beautiful, poetic prose. As a novella, I assumed that this would be a quick, one sitting read, but I was wrong. I am not a reader of poetry and symbolism, so this was a very slow read for me.
I really don't want to come across as negative about this book. I can tell that it is very well done and beautifully written. It just isn't for me. My 3 star rating is based on my own enjoyment, but I would definitely recommend it to friends who better fit the genre and writing style.
