Wow, THIS IS HOW YOU LOSE THE TIME WAR is just, wow. The story opens with Red on the battlefield. She’s victorious as she finishes off the last man/being and surveys the battlefield. She’s victorious, but she senses another from the other side, one who could be strong enough to be her adversary.
Red has sentenced an entire planet to death. The corpses are being covered by vines and moss, but Red knows that the ground wont have enough time to recover before it is completely gone. She wanders through the wreckage, still sensing someone with unbelievable capabilities.
And so the story begins, and ends…with a letter.
A letter meant to be read once, and so, despite all the risks, Red burns it and reveals the hidden words. She leaves the ashes behind, but then another walks the dead ground and finds the remains. This new woman stirs the ashes with her blood and reads the letter again.
