Fantastic novella! Check it out
Caveat: I won an ARC of this work through Bookish in return for an honest review.
If you told me last month that I’d completely fall in love with a time-travel based epistolary romantic novella told from the points-of-view of rival agents in a time war, I’d probably have laughed in your face.
But, dear reader, I did.
This Is How You Lose The Time War has humor, heart, and style. It’s one of the most literary things I’ve read in recent memory. El-Mohtar and Gladstone worked together to build a seamless story that will surprise and delight you. It’s beautiful and poetic, and you should definitely pick up a copy. I think it’s a lock for next year’s Hugos.
Okay, I’m going to sign off before I completely gild the lily. Seriously, though. Check this one out.
