The book starts off right at the end of what appears to be an epic battle where, Red, is victorious. Red looks for more to kill but sees none. Red appears to be looking for someone, a rival, who works for the Garden. Red works for the Agency a group shaping the present, molding the future, by destroying the past. Red is the name of the woman, the agent of the Agency, and the weapon.
Red finds a letter that must be burned after reading. This is the watershed moment where trouble starts for Red and where I assume she will go on a quest to find the truth and free herself from guilt and death. The old story of I need to kill you to preserve myself.
Reading, it makes me feel a sense of foreboding, victorious, and hold on to your guns because it's about to get messy.
