Intriguing concept, gorgeous writing

I'm a sucker for a good co-written book. Two heads put together can create such unique stories. I'm really intrigued by this story - it seems like high-concept speculative fiction, and while the excerpt was short, it gave enough of a flavor of the writing and concept that I'm really interested to read more.
