The prose is very interesting and pulls you in quickly, and I’m excited to learn more about the world. There are some good lines just in these first few pages, from the bit about how all the crickets had for company were the skulls to the line about feelings being a fetish. There’s a lot here I really like, and I want to know more about this world and the characters that inhabit it.
