Fascinating... if only it weren't so poetic!

I really loved what this chapter started to do. I certainly got a snapshot of this war and that this was an agent ending something... and starting something. There were times that the poetic writing just wasn't clear on what was happening. The problem is this is a novella and so every word counts. I was confused at a couple points in just a chapter... this is too much.
