I loved WE DESERVE MONUMENTS so I was excited to see that Jas Hammonds had a new book. After reading the sample First Impression of THIRSTY, I have a lot of mixed feelings but am ultimately curious to keep reading the rest of the book. The writing feels a bit different from MONUMENTS and I’m not sure at this point whether that may be good or bad. I guess it’s not quite what I was expecting. The cover does well at conveying themes of the book. Although I don’t love it, I’m not sure what I’d choose instead.
