I have read books about addiction before, and they always pull at my heart strings. The way authors capture addiction through words is beautiful and sad, but it’s always a great read. From the beginning of this book, you can tell Blake is struggling but just doesn’t realize it yet. I love Ella’s character so far, because regardless of how she feels she’s there for Blake in a way a girlfriend should be. I also love the LGBTQ+ representation, you hardly ever see that in addiction books.
