Jas Hammonds made a big splash with their debut novel, We Deserve Monuments, and they’ve been on my must-read list ever since, so I was really excited to get a First Look at Thirsty. I love that this book is set during the summer between Blake's senior year of high school and freshman year of college, right on the cusp of independence. A lot of YA novels reference underage drinking, but this one is taking a more serious look at addiction. I can sort of see where this is headed but I'm excited to read more and get deeper into Blake's story.
