The cover is really captivating, and then you open it and see, "how to be the life of the party," with tips that no doubt lead to self-destruction, and even though this is a premise that's been used a thousand times before, you just kind of feel this rush. This snippet is really brief, but the story is already established: Blake, or Bee is willing to do anything to get initiated into the Serena sonority, Ella, her girlfriend, is going to encourage her all the way, and Annette's advice of caution goes unheard. Roxanne is a college senior at Jamestown, where Blake, Ella and Annette are headed, and also president of the Serena society. She loves to see recklessness, and so Blake and Ella are reckless, and trouble is bound to occur. I can't wait to read about what happens next. Does Blake get caught vandalizing Mr. Peterson's boat, does someone sell her out? Is the Serena society everything they dreamed it'd be?
