Normally, it takes me a while to get into YA realistic fiction. This is not the case with Thirsty. Already in the sneak peek I am emotionally invested in Blake's mental health & addiction. The narrative is intriguing and fast-paced with each section leading the reader to desire more of the storyline. Blake's insecurity and low self-esteem manifests into a loss of control and regrets; a vicious cycle.
