My heart is feeling a few emotions after I read this first look. Two emotions that stand out are understanding and sadness. Blake is doing her best to fit in and join an exclusive society before she starts college. And she finds that drinking (way too much) seems to be her ticket in. She is more fun, daring, and the life of the party and the feeling is too hard to let go of. Her girlfriend of four years doesn't seem to be helping her drinking problem, instead encouraging it. I think this will be a powerful read.
