Having previously read We Deserve Monuments, I already know that I click with Jas Hammond’s writing style and ability to skillfully hone in on heavy topic without being preachy. This is what sets her stories apart from so many other YA books that cross my path. Besides not feeling like a YA book - but rather a book for any one - she’s not writing to a YA formula. I’m looking forward to reading Thirsty, not only because it seems hard to put down, but also because it will give me a new perspective on something (probably somethings) and leave me thinking about it long after reading the last page.
