The title of the book Thieves’ Gambit is what caught my eye. This was a quick paced book, and I enjoyed the characters. The main character, Rosalyn, just wants to be a normal teenager and not part of a family of thieves, but when her plan to do just that goes awry, she is in one of the biggest games of her life. I enjoyed the different heists the teenagers had to go through and how they worked together and also against each other to win the game. Rosalyn tries to stay true to the family creed of Trust No One, but she finds herself wanting to trusts the others, especially Devroe. In the end, Rosalyn is deceived by someone that surprised her. Now she knows that she has to really only trust herself. I enjoyed the writing, and it was a fun ride to see who was going to win each phase of the Gambit and how. The only thing for me is it ended quite abruptly. However the book did leave an opening for a second book. I would recommend this book.
