I found the Sneak Peek of "Thieves' Gambit" by Kayvion Lewis to be well-written and quite intriguing, from the first page to the end of page 67. Ms. Lewis did a phenomenal job of developing interesting characters with a unique plot. Even though this novel falls into the YA genre, unlike quite a few YA novels that I have read, this one feels realistic and not juvenile. The main character, Rosalyn (Ross) Quest, is a strong, intelligent African American teenager that is following in the footsteps of her mother and other descendants into a life of stealing high priced items for individuals through the dark web. Her family is well known throughout the world as being one of the top in their field. Due to extenuating circumstances, Ross finds herself competing with the best of the best to win a prize of a wish. Will she win? Will she be able to save her mother? Only time will tell. My "wish" is to be one of the lucky winners of this amazing novel! If I had sufficient bonus points, I would definitely request this novel.
