The opening chapters of Thieves' Gambit launch you straight into a secretive underworld of high-end thieving families, and will have you racing through the pages with excitement. The writing feels fast-paced even when it's not an action scene. The overbearing mother dynamic was very well played and I'm interested to see how Ross will find herself outside of her mother's control throughout the story.
