I flew through this first look. It was compelling from the first page. I absolutely love the premise of a cut throat thieving competition. So far, the writing is strong, the characters are intriguing, and I'm already trying to make guesses about how the plot will unfold. I would absolutely love to read more to find out if love is afoot... and perhaps if friendship is the real treasure all along.
I definitely think this will appeal to fans of competition books like The Hunger Games, as well as readers who like a good mystery/puzzle. I've seen this book get hyped up online, but I really didn't buy into it until this first look. It's got potential to be a fantastic read.
